Dr. Software is proud to announce the Free Visual Mechanics Program, a giant leap forward in access to quality visualization tools for Engineering Education. Visual Mechanics has been available for over 3 years as an off the shelf product, selling thousands of copies to engineering students and educators. Dr. Software is now offering the same product over the internet for FREE.
It's simple. Our goal is to place quality computer-based educational tools for teaching Mechanics of Materials in as many hands as possible. In response, we hope that you (1) contribute to a dynamic, online library of pedagogical materials, usage tips, and anecdotes that leverage the Visual Mechanics tools, and(2) suggest improvements to the tools themselves. We will moderate these contributions, and when appropriate, make them available to all educators via the Visual Mechanics Website.
Submit the form below to register your course with Dr. Software, and we will send you a registration number that will allow you and your students to use Visual Mechanics on as many machines as you want, PC or Mac.After you download and install the software (less than 2 Mb) you can access the Visual Mechanics Workbook via the internet and get cracking.
Dr. Software is as interested in internet privacy as you are. We aren't Microsoft and we certainly aren't Big Brother. The truth is, the most sophisticated user tracking we have here is a couple of overused stickies. Here are our policies.
| Visual Mechancs II: Statics and Kinematics! We are close to finishing our second educational effort, and like Visual Mechanics I, it will be made available to Educators for FREE. Check out the Visual Mechanics II page for more details, and make sure to come back and visit to follow our progress. |
